Sales Manager - Ticketing Solutions

About the role

Enghouse Transportation is looking for a Sales Manager to expand its global market presence, starting with Southeast Europe, promoting Margento, its payment, electronic and mobile ticketing solutions for the transit sector. The role is hybrid, combining client visits with strategic planning, and reports directly to the VP-Sales, Transportation. It is based in Slovenia (Ljubljana or Maribor) or open to relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development and sales strategies across Slovenia and Southeast Europe.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities in public transport, mobility, smart city, payments, infrastructure and technology.
• Build relationships with government bodies, municipalities, transport authorities, public operators and partners, and represent the company as a trusted advisor.
• Develop market entry strategies and partnerships with system integrators, consultants and technology providers.
• Engage customers proactively before formal procurement begins, monitor tenders and procurement plans, and lead complex sales through proposal, negotiation and closing.
• Coordinate bid teams, forecast pipelines, and keep customer and opportunity records in Salesforce.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of B2B sales and business development experience, including complex enterprise and public sector deals.
• Track record of success in multiple Southeast European markets and in long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of public procurement and tender-driven sales.
• Fluent Slovenian and English; knowledge of Croatian and/or Serbian is highly desirable.

Required skills

• CRM systems; familiarity with MEDDIC is an advantage.
• Preferred: experience in transportation and mobility, ITS, electronic ticketing, and selling to public sector clients.
• Preferred: knowledge of public procurement legislation in Southeast Europe and established regional networks.
