R&D Food Developer - Plant-Based Organic Foods

About the role

LoginEKO is looking for a curious, hands-on R&D Food Developer in Ljubljana to help create innovative, nutritious and delicious plant-based food products. The role combines food science, creativity and practical experimentation to turn ideas into high-quality products made from organic ingredients, with full traceability and a clean label.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with product concepts, recipe formulation and prototype testing for organic, plant-based products
• Experiment with ingredients, formulations, textures and processing techniques to achieve excellent taste and quality
• Perform quality control of Niamito products, including sensory evaluations, product testing and compliance monitoring against quality and food safety standards
• Research emerging food technologies, ingredient innovations and consumer trends to find new product opportunities
• Collaborate with production, quality and other cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility, consistency and scalability
• Maintain accurate documentation of recipes, experiments, specifications and development processes

Required profile

• Educational background in food technology, food science, nutrition, biotechnology or a related field
• Practical experience in food product development, recipe formulation or food processing, ideally in plant-based or organic food
• Good understanding of ingredient functionality, processing techniques and the link between taste, texture and nutrition
• Familiarity with food safety, quality standards and clean-label product development
• Creative, experimental mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a hands-on approach
• Proficiency in Slovenian
