Master Trainer - Financial Literacy Training (Consultancy)

About the role

Aflatoun International, a non-profit offering social, financial and entrepreneurship education to children and young people, is looking for a consultant based in Slovenia to lead a 3-day in-person training of trainers in Slovenian. The training covers the Financial Literacy Module (FLM) for Parents. The training takes place in May 2026, date to be confirmed.

Key responsibilities

• Attend a 3-day online master training (TBC, May 2026) and study the FLM programme and training manual.
• Align and coordinate with the Aflatoun Education Specialist to adjust the training content before the Slovenian session (1 hour).
• Prepare the training material, including presentations, agenda and templates (1 day).
• Coordinate with local NGOs to confirm participant numbers, backgrounds and materials such as handouts, flipcharts and pens (1 hour).
• Arrange your own travel and accommodation; travel expenses are reimbursed after initial agreement (2 hours).
• Facilitate the 3-day training of trainers in Slovenia (3 days).
• Draft a final report covering feedback survey results, outcomes, lessons learned, challenges and follow-up steps, submitted within a week of the training (4 hours).

Required profile

• Bachelor's or academic degree in education, psychology or a related field.
• Experience in training within Aflatoun's programme is highly preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in financial education.
• Work experience as a training facilitator, preferably in an NGO setting.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Slovenian (required).
• Ability to work in a small team in an international environment.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical, critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The engagement is a consultancy paid 750 EUR (incl. VAT) for 5 days at 150 EUR per day. Consultants must sign Aflatoun's Child Protection Policy and PSEA policy, and undergo integrity screening, which may include a background check and a written test.
