International Trade Analyst (m/f/d)

About the role

Novartis is seeking an International Trade Analyst to support the efficient movement of materials and products across global markets. You will work with colleagues from multiple regions and functions, applying customs and trade‑compliance expertise to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to evolving international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate customs classification of materials worldwide.
• Determine country of origin and manage related documentation.
• Conduct post‑entry import and export declaration checks.
• Collect, analyse and submit trade‑compliance key performance indicators to the Global CTC function.
• Advise business partners on customs classification and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on customs and trade‑compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to guarantee regulatory compliance.
• Identify and escalate compliance risks to management and Global Customs teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of customs and trade‑compliance processes.
• Support Health, Safety and Environment requirements and professional development objectives.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in international trade, customs or trade‑compliance.
• Strong knowledge of customs classification and origin determination.
