Delivery Dispatcher – Intermodal Planner

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Delivery Dispatcher (Intermodal Planner) to join its Inland Delivery team. Reporting to the Inland Delivery Manager, you will manage daily intermodal operations and conduct detailed analysis of rail and truck flows to drive cost‑saving decisions. The role combines operational coordination with data‑driven insights to support efficient cargo movement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain store‑door import/export requirements to ensure timely cargo departure.
• Report daily store‑door movements, service failures and operational challenges to the supervisor.
• Improve inland operations processes and monitor problems to keep containers moving.
• Track idle containers, report potential demurrage and coordinate with rail/truck operators, lines and terminals.
• Ensure data integrity by accurately updating all related systems.
• Implement methods to reduce intermodal, positioning and storage costs.
• Recover equipment, maintenance and repair costs.

Required profile

• Experience or strong interest in shipping, rail and road transport management.
• Team‑player attitude with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Result‑oriented, reliable and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Fluency in English and Slovenian or Croatian; Italian is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
