About the role

Join Planet’s Custom Apps team in Ljubljana as a student developer. You will work on web and mobile applications that turn satellite imagery into practical tools for agriculture and land monitoring, supporting both government projects and public platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Fix bugs and implement new features for backend services.
• Write automated test suites to maintain code quality.
• Integrate services with databases to streamline data flows.
• Assist with deployment processes and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and document technical specifications.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a full‑time university program studying software engineering or a related field.
• Proactive attitude toward learning and technical problem‑solving.
• Comfortable communicating in English, the team’s working language.

Required skills

• Java or React programming.
• Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Version control with Git.
• Basic understanding of databases (SQL).
