System Engineer

About the role

Adacta is seeking a Systems Engineer to keep the infrastructure behind its proprietary insurance‑software platform running smoothly across both cloud and on‑premises environments. You will join an international team and be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, security and reliability of Windows‑based services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory and the Microsoft 365 estate (Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, licensing and identity).
• Manage Hyper‑V virtualization, backup and disaster‑recovery processes, ensuring recoverability.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, improve monitoring and reduce manual effort.
• Respond calmly to incidents: diagnose, hypothesise and resolve issues without drama.
• Support Azure compute, networking and storage resources as part of the hybrid environment.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Strong networking fundamentals (OSI model, topology, firewalls).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams and Intune.
• Proven work with Hyper‑V virtualization, backup and disaster‑recovery.
• Basic knowledge of Azure services (compute, network, storage).
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Clear communication in English.
