Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Join Soniox as a Software Engineer focused on cloud infrastructure. You will help build and operate the platform that powers real‑time speech and translation services at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the cloud infrastructure for Soniox’s real‑time speech and translation products.
• Create abstractions and tooling that accelerate development while preserving performance and security.
• Ensure systems scale reliably across growing workloads and worldwide traffic.
• Contribute to high‑availability, observability, and on‑call rotation for critical services.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building and operating core infrastructure in production.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes or comparable orchestration systems at scale.
• Experience building internal platforms or abstractions over cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong focus on performance, reliability, and security‑by‑default.
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with rapid iteration and evolving goals.
