About the role

Join Robinhood’s Cloud Engineering team in Ljubljana to drive the modernization of a legacy financial platform. As a Senior Software Engineer you will lead the transformation of a monolithic application into a container‑based, scalable service that integrates tightly with Robinhood’s global infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the effort to containerize the core monolith, updating code and deployment pipelines for modern scaling.
• Design and execute high‑priority integration projects that align Bitstamp’s backend with Robinhood’s global systems.
• Own the code changes required to decompose the monolith into a containerized, scalable environment.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support business continuity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operational reliability.

Required profile

• Senior‑level backend engineer with a strong problem‑solving mindset.
• Experience working on large‑scale, high‑velocity cloud platforms.
• Comfortable with fast‑moving, high‑performing team environments.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least three days per week.

Required skills

• AWS cloud services.
