Product Designer – Cell Experience (Robotics)

About the role

Sunrise Robotics is hiring its first Product Designer to shape the Cell Experience (CX) of intelligent robotic cells. You will create a coherent design language that makes autonomous systems safe, intuitive and trustworthy for operators, supervisors and plant managers across diverse manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design of Cell Experience across software interfaces, physical signals (e‑stop, lights, sound) and service touch‑points.
• Define interaction models, system behaviours and design principles that guide autonomous cells from introduction through onboarding, monitoring and hand‑over.
• Develop a fleet‑wide design language that scales across varied production floors and supports edge cases, failure modes and recovery flows.
• Prototype concepts for UI flows, light logic, display hierarchies and feedback mechanisms, and validate them with real users on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Experience designing end‑to‑end product and service journeys, especially for high‑stakes, complex systems.
• Strong foundation in UX, interaction and service design with an eye for visual quality.
• Ability to think in systems, considering states, flows, behaviours and human interactions.
• Clear, structured communication skills and ownership to make decisions without predefined processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma for rapid prototyping.
• Hands‑on curiosity with front‑end code, microcontrollers or hardware tinkering.
