Mobile Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced mobile engineer to lead the development of core features across our iOS, Android and React Native apps. At Soniox you will shape fast, intuitive, real‑time voice AI experiences that feel like magic while building a scalable, high‑performance foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship mobile experiences on iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin) and React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Improve mobile codebases – architecture, performance, testing, tooling.
• Collaborate with product, design, research and backend teams to create speech‑first features.
• Work across the stack from microphone streaming to UI polish to ensure low latency and reliability.
• Prioritise app stability, responsiveness and user satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and shipping production mobile apps.
• Passion for performance, startup time, battery usage and smooth UX, especially in audio‑heavy or real‑time systems.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast‑paced startup environments.

Required skills

• iOS development with Swift.
• Android development with Kotlin.
• React Native development using JavaScript or TypeScript.
