Key Account Manager

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead nationwide accounts in the Dermatology and Gastroenterology therapeutic areas. The role focuses on executing brand strategy, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving short‑ and long‑term sales performance while keeping the patient at the centre of all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Understand key account needs, expectations, opportunities and threats, and share insights internally.
• Highlight cross‑functional impacts of account changes to brand teams.
• Develop solutions to address claims or issues raised by key accounts.
• Build trusted, strategic relationships with stakeholders to anticipate access barriers.
• Identify and collaborate on win‑win partnerships to influence contracting and tendering opportunities.
• Create and maintain detailed customer profiles and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Develop and formalise a Key Account Plan (KAP) with engagement projects that create mutual value.
• Work across multiple channels, tailoring content and medical discussion topics to evolving customer needs.
• Deliver sales performance, meet brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives.
• Maintain planned sales call frequencies and professional visits.
• Provide field learnings back to the broader team and pursue personal development opportunities.
• Participate in trainings, employee meetings and other work‑related events.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in a Science or Applied Science discipline.
• Proven track record of success in sales.
• English language proficiency (verbal and written) preferred.
• Good command of the local language.
