Technical Steward I (Medical Devices)

About the role

Novartis is hiring a Technical Steward I (Ekspert procesnih tehnologij I) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in the Medical Devices field. The role connects development, MS&T and manufacturing to solve complex challenges, improve processes and enable successful product launches. It is a global position with no relocation support offered.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main interface between global MS&T Medical Devices, suppliers, Technical Development and manufacturing sites.
• Analyse process deviations for Medical Device platforms, identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
• Define and implement technical standards for manufacturing technologies and equipment globally.
• Provide subject-matter expertise for pharmaceutical processes across multiple sites, products and technologies.
• Drive process optimisation, technology transfer and continuous improvement.
• Support product introduction and lifecycle changes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support validation, inspections and regulatory compliance across global operations.

Required profile

• University degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, chemistry or another relevant scientific field.
• At least three years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing in a regulated environment.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including mechanical production technologies.
• Experience with quality and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical production.
• Ability to analyse complex technical problems and manage stakeholders in a global environment.
• Experience in a regulated medical device environment is an advantage.

• Expected annual base salary of EUR 32,060 to 59,540, set on gender-neutral criteria.
