Technical Product Manager, Platform

About the role

Sunrise Robotics is looking for a senior Technical Product Manager to own the Platform that powers its robotic cells. You will define the roadmap, translate customer and engineering ideas into concrete initiatives, and ensure the platform delivers high‑value capabilities to manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Platform roadmap, turning ideas from customers, engineers and leadership into prioritized initiatives.
• Run discovery, write detailed specifications, set milestones, and align work with the Sunrise product roadmap.
• Lead delivery with engineering: plan cycles, track milestones, adjust scope or resources, and sign off that delivered work meets quality standards.
• Collaborate daily with team leads and senior engineers on technical trade‑offs such as perception accuracy versus cycle time, and challenge estimates with evidence.
• Represent the customer, ensuring platform solutions work on factory floors and meet operator and facility‑manager needs.

Required profile

• Robotics engineering background with experience building and shipping robot software (perception, motion planning, manipulation or simulation).
• Senior product experience leading a technical product area with 10+ engineers from concept to launch.
• Proven ability to write detailed specifications and manage high‑cost‑of‑change requirements.
• Strong estimation and delivery discipline with honest reforecasting when numbers disagree.
• Excellent written English and the ability to argue by evidence with senior engineers.
