Sous Chef / Chef de Partie – Institutional Catering (Portorož)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Sous Chef / Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Dijaški dom Portorož. The position focuses on organised institutional catering, providing high‑quality meals in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the head chef in planning and preparing daily menus for institutional catering.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of junior kitchen staff during service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain high quality of dishes.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and assist with ordering supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen workspace.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in institutional or large‑scale catering.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to food safety and quality.
• Team‑player attitude with the capacity to work efficiently under pressure.
• Fluency in Slovenian is an advantage, but not mandatory.

• Competitive gross salary ranging from €2,100 to €2,600 per month, based on experience.
