Site MS&T Head - Aseptics Ljubljana (Hybrid)

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Site MS&T Head (m/f/d) for its Aseptic Ljubljana site, which is building a global centre of excellence for launching and producing innovative aseptic medicines. You will lead a growing Manufacturing Science & Technology team, drive technical excellence, oversee technology transfers and product lifecycle stewardship, and help launch new manufacturing capabilities. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Site MS&T organisation and its team.
• Drive technical oversight and life-cycle stewardship of products and manufacturing processes.
• Lead technology transfers, process introductions and scale-up activities.
• Own the site validation strategy.
• Partner with site, platform and global leaders and champion manufacturing excellence.
• Ensure inspection readiness and provide technical leadership during inspections.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and make data-driven decisions.

Required profile

• MSc. degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in MS&T, Quality, Manufacturing or Process Development, with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Strong leadership experience, including people leadership, organisational development and talent growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills.
• Functional knowledge of English; working knowledge of Slovenian is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Desirable: experience in aseptic manufacturing or biologics production.
