Senior Technician - Process Analytics and Analytical Sciences (d/f/m)

About the role

Sandoz is creating a new unit for the development of biosimilars at its global development centre in Ljubljana. As a Senior Technician (d/f/m) in the Process Analytics and Analytical Sciences department, you will analyse biosimilar drug substances and drug products. The role covers the full spectrum of research work, from planning, designing and executing to precise documentation and independent interpretation of complex scientific and development tasks, and includes mentoring and training team members.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, perform and document experiments, analyses and processes under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Execute assigned tasks within given timelines and to the expected quality.
• Act in full compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Contribute to the maintenance and management of laboratory infrastructure and inventory.
• Support the implementation of HSE tasks and requirements in the unit.
• Take part in knowledge exchange within your area and carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Secondary school degree in pharmacy, chemistry or another relevant field.
• Experience in biosimilar testing is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of English.

Required skills

• Basic, practical and technical knowledge in the relevant area.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving within your own area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Permanent contract with a 6-month probation period; 40-hour week.
• Pay range of EUR 26,720 to 40,080 gross per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
