Senior React Native Engineer – Business Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join the Business Services organisation at Payward’s Kraken platform. You will work on the Support Center team, building in‑product support, chat, content and voice experiences across web and mobile.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality mobile experiences using React Native and TypeScript across multiple Kraken products.
• Own initiatives end‑to‑end, from clarifying requirements through implementation, release and post‑launch iteration.
• Build support‑related functionality such as in‑product messaging, chat, content, banners, modals and voice‑call capabilities.
• Adapt approaches to each product’s priorities—performance, design precision, reliability or maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, mobile, web and backend teams to resolve ambiguity and drive initiatives forward.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and actively participate in technical design discussions, code reviews and mobile release processes.
• Contribute to real‑time experiences using APIs and WebSockets, including Kraken‑built alternatives to third‑party support tooling.
• Help improve shared architecture, components and development practices across Support Center’s web and mobile contributions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience with hands‑on React Native mobile app delivery.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and modern React development practices.
• Proven ability to own projects from initial requirements through production delivery.
• Excellent organization skills with a structured approach to managing priorities, dependencies and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, able to clarify ambiguous problems and build alignment.
• Collaborative, low‑ego mindset and flexibility to contribute effectively within products and codebases owned by other teams.
• Experience with APIs, frontend testing, mobile performance and modern build and deployment pipelines.
• Sound technical judgement with a consistent focus on quality, reliability and getting work completed.
