Senior Procurement Category Manager – Biologics & Biosimilars Direct Materials

About the role

The Senior Procurement Category Manager will lead strategic sourcing for the Biologics & Biosimilars Direct Materials category, ensuring best‑in‑class delivery of external products to support projects. You will work closely with business stakeholders to drive productivity improvements, cost savings and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement category strategic goals aligned with the overall procurement strategy, including ecosystem management and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Plan, organise and manage projects, defining scope, objectives and tracking progress with appropriate tools.
• Map and analyse the value chain, develop cost‑modelling scenarios and support financial discussions such as budgeting and tax‑aware sourcing.
• Monitor end‑to‑end compliance (budget, payments, PO, contracts, invoices) and initiate corrective actions.
• Lead fact‑based negotiations and build sustainable supplier relationships.

Required profile

• University degree required; Master’s or other advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record in sourcing, supplier and contract management, compliance and savings delivery.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to engage with diverse stakeholder groups.
