Senior Laravel & DevOps Engineer

About the role

Timeless Tech, a company with over 15 years of experience building B2B technology solutions for the international iGaming industry, is looking for a Senior Laravel & DevOps Engineer. You will build, maintain and modernise business-critical, data-driven applications and keep the systems behind them reliable, working across the full lifecycle from architecture and development to deployment, monitoring and incident resolution. You will report to the CTO and own both the applications and their infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain business-critical applications with PHP, Laravel, Filament and PostgreSQL, and modernise legacy systems to reduce technical debt.
• Design and maintain application architecture, APIs and integrations with internal systems.
• Keep code quality high with automated tests, static analysis and code reviews (Pest, PHPStan, Laravel Pint).
• Improve CI/CD and deployment automation with Jenkins, Git and Gitea.
• Administer the high-availability Proxmox cluster, including Ceph/CephFS, ZFS, Linux systems and containers.
• Run core services such as PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Gitea, web servers, Icinga, Grafana and Loki.
• Handle security, patching, backups, recovery and capacity planning.
• Lead incident response, find root causes and put prevention in place.
• Review code, guide other developers and keep clear documentation and runbooks.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of professional software development experience as a senior developer, tech lead or equivalent.
• Strong production experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Hands-on Linux administration: virtualisation, containers, storage, monitoring, backups and security.
• Experience running high-availability production environments and resolving incidents.
• Clear documentation habits and professional English.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical decisions and communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
