Senior Global GMP Quality Auditor

About the role

In this position you will lead, support and report independent GMP audits across Novartis sites and partners, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal quality standards. The role requires up to 60 % travel and can be based in Madrid, Barcelona or Ljubljana, with relocation support available.

Key responsibilities

• Support the strategic development of a global risk‑based audit strategy and program.
• Plan, lead, conduct, document and follow‑up GMP audits for internal and external sites, contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to audit teams.
• Prepare audit reports, assess corrective action plans and ensure timely remediation.
• Act as GMP compliance consultant for trainings, task forces and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical‑device industry, with strong GMP knowledge.
• Operational experience in QA/QC management, manufacturing or regulatory health‑authority work.
• Expertise in sterile manufacturing, aseptic drug product, API or related areas.
• Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
