Senior Engineer, Tooling Forming

About the role

Danfoss is looking for a Senior Engineer, Tooling Forming to develop and improve forming tools and fixtures that support its new product development for manufacturing. Working with colleagues across engineering, production, quality and supplier partners, the role brings design expertise, simulation capabilities and practical problem solving to turn tooling concepts into production. It is an international, collaborative position.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop forming tools and fixtures, from initial requirements through release and production implementation.
• Use forming simulation tools to evaluate and improve tooling concepts, optimizing manufacturability, quality and process performance.
• Collaborate across sites to develop and maintain common design standards, methods and lessons learned.
• Support tool tryouts, troubleshooting and continuous improvement by analyzing results and identifying practical solutions.
• Work with engineering, production, quality, procurement, suppliers and tool shops throughout tooling development, commissioning, maintenance and improvement.
• Contribute to design reviews, supplier collaboration and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with sheet metal forming tools, tooling design or manufacturing processes.
• Team-oriented engineer with strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills, able to work across functions and cultures.
• Fluency in English and Slovene is required.

Required skills

• CAD software such as NX, AutoCAD or similar.
• Forming simulation tools such as Dynaform, AutoForm, PAM-STAMP or equivalents.
• Advantageous but not required: GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, DFM, tool tryouts and supplier collaboration.
