Senior CNC Manufacturing Technologist

About the role

A well-established Slovenian manufacturing company with a strong international presence and highly developed in-house production is looking for an experienced Senior CNC Manufacturing Technologist. This is not a purely operational CNC role: the role suits a technically strong conceptual thinker and project-oriented professional who identifies production challenges, develops solutions and leads them from concept through to commissioning. It combines manufacturing engineering, technology development, project management and cross-functional leadership, with a focus on introducing new equipment, processes and automated production solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design new manufacturing and CNC machining solutions
• Create technological concepts for new production processes, machines and automated production lines
• Lead technical and investment projects from concept through implementation and start-up
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across technology, production, maintenance, engineering and other functions
• Define technical requirements for new machinery and production equipment
• Work with equipment suppliers during development, testing, acceptance and commissioning
• Support the introduction and optimisation of new machines and production lines
• Provide technical guidance within the technology team

Required profile

• University degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant technical field
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, CNC machining, machine building, automation or production technology
• Experience introducing, developing or commissioning new machinery, production lines or automated systems
• Experience in project management and coordinating cross-functional technical teams
• Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Proactive, independent and technically creative approach; good command of English
• Experience with wood, wood-based composites, plastics or panels is a strong advantage
