Senior Analytical Expert Science & Technology (m/f/d)

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Senior Analytical Expert (Science & Technology) in Mengeš, Slovenia. You will lead and manage analytical projects and help resolve challenges in analytical method development within a multidisciplinary project team. You will direct analytical project activities, contribute to global strategies and manage the operational aspects of the laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and coordinate analytical project activities in the development of biological medicines
• Manage several tasks at once and meet customer needs
• Lead analytical method development and give scientific guidance to the project team
• Interpret results, evaluate data and review and approve data produced by colleagues
• Prepare scientific reports for internal and external partners and contribute to regulatory documentation
• Solve complex problems and actively contribute to budget preparation and resource planning
• Manage project timelines

Required profile

• University degree (PhD preferred) in pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a related field
• At least three years of professional experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or biotechnology
• Active knowledge of English
• Knowledge of digital technologies

• Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period
• Expected annual base salary range in Slovenia of EUR 46,550 to 86,450
