Senior Advisor, Donor Engagement (Sida)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a Senior Advisor to lead and coordinate its funding‑focused engagement with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). This senior position provides internal and external account‑management support, shaping strategic donor relationships and ensuring compliance across the Awards Management Unit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of proactive engagement strategies with Sida and other statutory donors.
• Provide expert guidance on donor compliance, risk management, and award administration.
• Act as the primary liaison between IRC country programs and donor partners, ensuring consistent communication and alignment.
• Collaborate closely with Policy & Solutions and Advocacy & Influence teams to integrate donor priorities into program design.
• Support the full award management cycle, from proposal development through reporting and close‑out.

Required profile

• Proven experience in donor relations, preferably with government or statutory donors.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian funding mechanisms and compliance requirements.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
