Senior Accountant

About the role

CWS Workwear Slovenia is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage local statutory and IFRS‑based accounting. Reporting to the Head of Accounting for Croatia and Slovenia, the role offers autonomy and a chance to contribute to a multinational team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare group‑level financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Serve as the primary contact for auditors during the annual audit.
• Prepare monthly VAT reports and the annual corporate income tax return.
• Provide financial support to the CFO and regional management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluent in English and Slovenian.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (a plus).
