Sales Engineer – Export Trade Partners & Export SEW

About the role

Hager is seeking a Sales Engineer to expand its presence in Slovenia, focusing on export trade partners and the Export SEW segment. You will act as a technical advisor for electrical installers, planners, architects, and wholesale suppliers, delivering innovative solutions that support energy management and building automation.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Hager’s product portfolio and build long‑term relationships with customers in the electrotechnical market.
• Prospect new accounts while securing cross‑sell, up‑sell, and repeat business with existing clients.
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions.
• Prepare commercial offers in collaboration with Sales Support Engineers.
• Conduct product presentations and technical workshops for clients.
• Develop sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify targeted accounts.
• Work independently under general supervision, including field visits.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar sales engineering role.
• Higher technical education in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the local electrotechnical market.
• Customer‑oriented with solid negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently with good organization and creativity.
• Fluent English and/or German at B2 level.
• Valid category B driving licence and willingness to work in the field.
