Sales Engineer, EU

About the role

PDQ, a device management software company founded in Salt Lake City and backed by private equity firms, is hiring a Sales Engineer for its Ljubljana-based office in Slovenia. This is a hybrid position open to candidates living in Slovenia and within commuting distance of the office. The Sales Engineer provides pre-sales technical support to prospective customers, discovers their IT environment, leads product demonstrations and helps move deals forward.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining PDQ products to prospective customers (system administrators)
• Discuss system requirements as they relate to each customer's environment
• Help with existing customer renewals by providing quotes and troubleshooting obstacles
• Take detailed notes and set next steps so the transition to the Sales Development Reps and Account Managers is smooth
• Contribute to customer-facing content such as webcasts, videos, blog posts and social media
• Promote PDQ products at conferences and trade shows

Required profile

• Advanced degree or certification in Systems Administration, Network Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Network Engineering or a related field
• Previous sales and/or training experience preferred
• Familiarity with PDQ products is a significant plus
• Comfortable selling technical IT products to technical people and carrying quota
• Able to travel once or twice per quarter for on-site customer visits and events
