Safety Engineer – Occupational Health & Fire Safety

About the role

A recruitment agency is looking for a Safety Engineer (m/f) for its client, a well-established company specialising in occupational health and safety and fire safety. The role suits someone who enjoys professional, independent work, advising clients and helping create safer working environments.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor compliance with occupational safety regulations, instructions and safe working procedures
• Prepare risk assessments, fire safety rules and fire risk assessments
• Carry out workplace environment measurements and inspect work equipment
• Prepare fire safety and evacuation plans
• Deliver employee training in occupational health and safety and fire safety
• Advise clients on occupational health and safety and fire safety

Required profile

• University degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety or Technical Safety Engineering
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Passed professional examination in occupational health and safety and fire safety examination
• Fluent Slovenian and good command of English
• Category B driving licence

Required skills

• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety and fire safety legislation and practices
• Computer skills (MS Word, Excel); AutoCAD is an advantage
• Independence, accuracy, organisation and strong communication and advisory skills
