QC Bioanalytics Group Lead

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Group Lead for Quality Control in its bioanalytics function, based onsite in Mengeš. The role leads a team of quality control associates, coordinates analytical and project activities and manages laboratory equipment in line with agreed timelines, legislation, internal rules, good practices and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an expert team of associates and coordinate project-related analytical activities
• Implement new laboratory equipment and manage laboratory and computerised laboratory equipment
• Present the unit's activities on audits and regulatory inspections
• Develop expertise, train and develop associates
• Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and Novartis standards, and support business continuity management
• Control the implementation of health, safety and environment (HSE) requirements
• Represent the company's vision and values and maintain good relationships with business partners
• Other tasks set in the annual objectives process, by KPIs or by the supervisor

Required profile

• University degree in pharmacy, biology, chemistry, information technology or another equivalent field
• At least 2 years of experience in a comparable position
• Fluent English
• Fixed-term employment of one year with a 6-month probation period, renewable
