Product Testing and Evaluation Engineer - Electronics

About the role

Direct4.me, a Slovenian company developing autonomous smart parcel lockers, is looking for a Product Testing and Evaluation Engineer to join its development team in Ljubljana. You will plan, carry out and document tests of the electronic assemblies used in the lockers, working with hardware, firmware and mechanical engineers to turn new designs into reliable products ready for production.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop test methodologies and prepare functional test plans based on product requirements and specifications
• Perform functional tests, measurements and evaluations of electronic assemblies, analysing results and investigating deviations
• Design test tools, fixtures and applications, and carry out FMEA to reduce product risks
• Help develop functional circuit testing (FCT) and move test procedures into production
• Prepare test reports and coordinate measurements, tests and certification with accredited institutions such as SIQ
• Work with the team on test evidence for product safety and EMC, and evaluate product changes and component substitutions

Required profile

• Degree at Slovenian level VI/2 or VII in electrical engineering, computer science, informatics or another relevant technical field, or equivalent qualification abroad
• Solid knowledge of electronic components, circuits and their operation, and ability to read schematics and turn specifications into practical tests
• Good working command of English
• Systematic, precise and analytical approach, able to work independently and collaborate with the team

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of measurement instruments
• Knowledge of C and Python, LabVIEW, Git and Jira are advantages
