Payroll Professional – Remote Freelance (HR/Finance/Accounting)

About the role

We are seeking experienced payroll professionals to take part in a research project that evaluates AI models on payroll‑related tasks. The assignment is remote, freelance and paid at $25 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Complete a series of surveys covering payroll calculations, compliance, benefits administration, tax withholding and reporting.
• Apply your real‑world payroll experience to answer scenario‑based questions.
• Provide feedback on the clarity and relevance of survey questions.
• Share professional judgment on realistic payroll situations presented in the surveys.

Required profile

• Current involvement in payroll activities within Human Resources, Finance or Accounting.
• Payroll responsibilities are part of your current role, regardless of job title.
• Familiarity with payroll processes such as calculations, compliance, benefits, tax withholding and reporting.
• Bonus: experience with payroll software, HRIS systems or automated payroll workflows.
