OT Business Application Engineer – MES & Serialization

About the role

D-ploy is seeking an OT Business Application Engineer to support and improve manufacturing execution, data historian, and serialization systems. The role is remote and requires fluent English and Slovenian.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor MES, data historian, and serialization applications, providing first‑line support to end users.
• Review and update SDLC documentation, conduct disaster recovery testing, and participate in on‑call support rotations.
• Assist in project implementations, provide operational feedback, and act as site coordinator for hardware or application vendors.
• Generate on‑demand data reports for quality investigations and PAT requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a cGMP environment.
• Fluency in Slovenian and English.
• Ability to present a recent criminal record (≤3 months old).

Required skills

• MES/OSI‑PI or general process control knowledge.
• Serialization processes and manufacturing knowledge.
• Process data interfaces: OPC DA, A&E, UA, Modbus.
• PLC/SCADA, hardware, networking, and IT security/cybersecurity.
