Manufacturing Unit Head (d/f/m) – Biosimilars

About the role

Sandoz is looking for a Manufacturing Unit Head (d/f/m) for its new Bio Injectable products manufacturing unit in Brnik, Slovenia, which produces advanced pharmaceutical products with a strong focus on biosimilars. The role plans, leads and continuously improves manufacturing and business processes to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality operations, drives production targets and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practice. It also involves leading, developing and supporting employees.

Key responsibilities

• Plan the long-term development of manufacturing operations and set priorities for safe, efficient and competitive performance
• Provide overall leadership of the manufacturing unit, accountable for safety, quality, productivity, cost and supply
• Plan and manage resources (people, equipment, investments and budget)
• Lead, develop and empower employees, including talent development, succession planning and training
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and connect key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements and quality, safety and environmental standards
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and shape a culture of trust, open communication and continuous learning

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business Administration or another relevant field
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent command of English
• Strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills; results-oriented and able to work under pressure

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a 6-month probation period, 40 weekly working hours
• Annual gross salary of EUR 114,400 to 171,600 depending on experience and skills
