Inside Sales Representative

About the role

Avnet Abacus, a pan-European distributor of electronic components and solutions, is hiring an Inside Sales Representative for its Sales Office in Ljubljana. The role works closely with Account Managers to develop new opportunities and grow market share.

Key responsibilities

• Work proactively with Account Managers to develop new opportunities and increase sales and market share.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to all enquiries.
• Handle post, email and telephone responses, negotiate and close business.
• Investigate and resolve customer problems.
• Manage and review customer forecasts and logistics.
• Contact suppliers and the Abacus Asset department for quotes and prices.

Required profile

• Fluent spoken and written English and Slovenian (mandatory).
• Experience in inside sales, ideally in electronic component sales.
• Personable, driven, result-oriented and service-minded.
• Ability to achieve targets and meet deadlines, with attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong command of MS Office, with emphasis on Excel.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage, though full training is provided.
• Ability to quickly learn new practices and systems.
