HSE Business Partner – Platforms (m/f/d)

About the role

Novartis is looking for an HSE Business Partner for its Large Molecules, Cell & Gene and Aseptics manufacturing platforms, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The role connects global HSE strategy with local execution, leads a network of HSE professionals across several sites and influences key business decisions. Relocation support is not offered, so only apply if you can live in Ljubljana.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute the HSE strategy across the three manufacturing platforms
• Partner with Platform Heads, Site Heads, HSE teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive HSE excellence
• Lead, coach and develop a geographically distributed team of HSE professionals
• Strengthen a proactive HSE culture through leadership, engagement and continuous improvement
• Ensure effective implementation of HSE management systems, standards and compliance programs
• Oversee HSE risk management, incident governance and corrective actions
• Monitor regulatory developments and guide sites in staying compliant

Required profile

• University degree in Health and Safety, engineering, natural sciences or a related technical field
• Experience in complex operational or manufacturing environments with exposure to HSE practices
• At least 5 years of experience in technical functions within multinational organizations
• Desirable: experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare manufacturing and with site leadership teams

Required skills

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Fluent English and good knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Base salary range of 76,300 to 141,700 EUR, plus a 20% annual bonus
