Key responsibilities
- Build and operationalise the department, its processes, routines and team culture, and develop three Team Leads (Business Rule Engine, Portfolio Analytics & Monitoring, Early Warning System) through a coaching style.
- Own the portfolio monitoring framework across all segments and IFRS 9 stages, and the group's consolidated credit risk view and reports.
- Govern the rule architecture and change process for automated credit decisions in retail, micro and SME segments, and monitor rule performance.
- Own the unified early warning system framework across retail and non-retail segments, including triggers and escalation.
- Oversee NPE monitoring, ECL and LGD sensitivity analyses and portfolio inputs to the Group Risk Appetite Statement.
- Represent the department in governance bodies and supervisory interactions, including the SREP cycle.
Required profile
- University degree in a quantitative field (economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or quantitative risk management); a Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years in credit risk, quantitative risk management or risk analytics in a bank or financial institution.
- Experience in a second line of defence credit risk function and leading a team of quantitative analysts or credit risk specialists.
- Full professional proficiency in English; knowledge of Slovenian is an advantage.
Required skills
- Deep understanding of credit risk measurement (PD, LGD, EAD, ECL, CoR) and IFRS 9 staging.
- Strong statistical reasoning and knowledge of EBA GL/2020/06, EBA GL/2017/11, ECB NPL Guidance and CRR credit risk requirements.
- Understanding of business rule engines and credit scoring systems; BCBS 239 is an advantage.
- Ability to design governance frameworks, lead teams through change, and communicate clearly with senior management, risk committees and supervisors.
The position is full-time for an unlimited period with a 6-month probation period. Applications are made through the executive search firm BOC Institute by sending a CV and short cover letter.
