Group Head of FP&A and Treasury

About the role

Leanpay is seeking a senior leader to head Group Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasury. The role integrates budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management and asset‑liability management across the Group’s multi‑entity, multi‑currency operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, own and continuously improve the Group’s annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and scenario models, integrating data from ERP and Python‑based tools.
• Run daily liquidity models, manage inter‑company loans, and maintain liquidity buffers and stress‑test frameworks.
• Monitor ALM metrics, propose funding mix and hedging strategies, and prepare board‑ready presentations and investor reports.
• Lead the architecture of planning, liquidity and ALM tooling, deploying AI agents (Claude) for data collection, quality checks, forecasting and reporting.
• Set FP&A standards, coach the finance team on modelling and AI skills, and ensure robust controls and backup arrangements.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering or related field; CFA, ACCA or FRM advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in FP&A, treasury or corporate finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Background in lending, banking, fintech or other balance‑sheet‑driven businesses.
• Proven track record of building financial models and automating planning processes in multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling (three‑statement, cash‑flow, portfolio/loan‑book and scenario models).
• Hands‑on experience with Python and AI tools such as Claude/Claude Code.
• Implementation and use of Treasury Management Systems and integration with ERP, Xero, Pantheon or Nominal.
• Data pipeline design, dashboard creation and version‑controlled model development.
