Group Finance Director

About the role

Leanpay is scaling its BNPL operations across Slovenia and Romania and seeks an experienced Group Finance Director to lead Accounting & Controlling, FP&A and treasury system tooling across the group. Reporting to the CFO, you will shape finance strategy, drive process automation and ensure robust financial reporting for all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Define group‑wide accounting and controlling frameworks, sign off financial statements and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Lead the design, implementation and governance of the FP&A function, including tooling selection (e.g., Anaplan, Pigment) and budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Oversee treasury system tooling setup, coordinating with the Senior Treasury Officer to implement a Treasury Management System and integrate it with ERP and loan portfolio systems.
• Drive ERP and information system integration across all Leanpay companies, automate routine accounting processes and deploy AI‑assisted tools for reconciliation and forecasting.
• Manage and develop the finance team, set objectives, conduct performance reviews and support recruitment for finance roles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, business or finance.
• Minimum 7 years of senior experience in accounting, controlling or FP&A.
• Proven track record of building or improving FP&A processes and implementing ERP or finance systems.

Required skills

• FP&A planning tools such as Anaplan or Pigment.
• ERP systems implementation experience (e.g., Pantheon, SAP).
• Treasury Management System (TMS) selection and integration.
• AI‑assisted forecasting and anomaly detection tools.
