Freelance Sustainability Auditor – CFP, EPD & LCA (Slovenia)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is looking for an experienced freelance Sustainability Auditor to conduct independent audits on Carbon Footprint (CFP), Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) projects across infrastructure, oil & gas and renewable energy sectors in Slovenia.

Key responsibilities

• Perform LCA studies and verify CFP calculations according to ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14064‑2, GHG Protocol and PAS 2050.
• Audit EPD reports, ensure compliance with ISO 14025, EN 15804 and product category rules, and provide third‑party verification.
• Validate conformity with ISO standards, GRI, SASB, TCFD, Science‑Based Targets and EU PEF methodology.
• Collect, assess and improve primary and secondary data, using databases such as ecoinvent, GaBi and USDA.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, document evidence, and communicate findings to clients and certification bodies.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional experience in LCA, CFP or EPD auditing, including freelance engagements.
• Certified ISO 14040/14044 Lead Auditor, ISO 14025 EPD Verifier and ISO 14064 Carbon Footprint Auditor (or equivalent).
• Fluent English; Slovenian preferred or willingness to work with English documentation.
