Food & Beverage Director - Hotel Palace Portorož

About the role

Hotel Palace Portorož is looking for a Food & Beverage Director to manage all F&B functions and supervise staff on a daily basis, from business planning and organisation to operations and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and organise team working hours so that staff cover the hotel's occupancy adequately.
• Train, supervise and give performance feedback to team members.
• Work closely with the front office and sales team on allocating bookings that relate to F&B.
• Oversee inventory and materials control of the F&B department.
• Manage day-to-day operations so that quality, service and brand standards are met.
• Share information between departments and carry out the assigned tasks.

Required profile

• EU citizenship (or a valid long-term EU residence permit allowing full employment rights).
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in F&B management within a 5-star hotel.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a multicultural environment.
• Experience in luxury hospitality is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong operational knowledge of restaurants, bars, banqueting and cost control.
• Excellent English; knowledge of Slovenian or another regional language is an advantage.
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on operational approach, strong guest orientation and flexibility for seasonal peaks.
