Expert Drug Supply (m/f/d) – Clinical Manufacturing

About the role

Novartis has opened a new clinical manufacturing facility in Slovenia at Biocampus Mengeš, and is hiring a process specialist for its Drug Substance Clinical Manufacturing team. As Expert Drug Supply you will plan, schedule and coordinate production, qualification and validation activities, oversee the production process and equipment qualification, and support changeovers and deviation management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate batches, qualification, validation and other team activities
• Evaluate and interpret results independently, provide scientific and technical guidance and foster knowledge exchange
• Support, coach and mentor junior colleagues, and transfer process know-how across teams and stakeholders
• Write protocols, master batch records, SOPs, working procedures, production recipes and other documents independently
• Contribute to audits, ensure compliance, communicate and resolve deviations, and help with root cause investigations and corrective actions

Required profile

• University degree in pharmacy, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, microbiology or a comparable field
• Several years of experience as a specialist in biological drug production
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of GMP and experience in a regulated production environment (preferred)
• Good knowledge of instruments and equipment used in biological drug substance production and biotechnological processes (preferred)

• Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period; expected annual base pay of €27,160 to €50,440 depending on skills, competencies and experience
