Deputy Chief Technology Officer

About the role

The Deputy CTO partners with the CTO to lead daily operations of a global engineering organization in a fast‑growing digital asset trading firm. You will oversee engineering delivery, operational resilience, budget, and regulatory compliance across multiple divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Run day‑to‑day global engineering operations, own OKRs, monthly business reviews and delivery pipelines.
• Lead the multi‑year consolidation of trading infrastructure across 80+ venues and 1,400+ markets, and create shared data pipelines and governance.
• Execute cybersecurity and regulatory commitments (MiCA, DORA, SOC 2) and foster a controls‑by‑design culture.
• Manage the global engineering budget, vendor relationships, M&A integrations and mentor divisional VPs.

Required profile

• Proven experience running global engineering teams across multiple business lines and delivering large‑scale platform consolidations.
• Deep knowledge of low‑latency distributed systems, algorithmic trading infrastructure and digital‑asset market structures.
• Experience operating within strict regulatory frameworks (MiCA, DORA, SOC 2) and handling compliance‑driven information walls.
• Prior role as a trusted deputy or operational partner to a technical founder or CTO.
