Commercialist / Sales Manager for Industrial Chemicals (f/m/d)

About the role

HSH Chemie, the leading chemical distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, is looking for a Commercialist / Sales Manager for Industrial Chemicals in Slovenia. You will develop the business for the distribution of chemical raw materials and ingredients in industrial segments such as agrochemicals, civil engineering, aviation and lubricants.

Key responsibilities

• Expand and manage supplier and client relationships, both commercially and technically, through regular contact including visits
• Identify new markets and monitor market developments to find new raw materials, product applications and sales opportunities
• Set targets for new business development, implement strategies for profitable sales growth and extend the product portfolio
• Contribute to new business opportunities in industrial segments and related businesses by challenging the status quo
• Collaborate with sales colleagues in other industrial segments across Central and Eastern Europe

Required profile

• Ideally a degree as chemical engineer or comparable, or a commercial education with technical capabilities
• At least three years of experience with chemical raw materials in industrial product segments, from a technical, sales or purchasing perspective
• Strong customer and solution orientation, initiative, reliability and commitment
• Analytical, entrepreneurial, structured and independent working style
• Regular travel in Slovenia and occasional travel within the group; category B driving licence

Required skills

• Written and spoken Slovene and English
• Profound negotiation abilities
