Chanel Beauty Advisor - Cruise Ship

About the role

Harding, a leader in onboard cruise retail, is recruiting motivated and ambitious Chanel Beauty Advisors to join its teams at sea. You will promote Chanel skincare, makeup and fragrance to guests from around the world, giving them a welcoming, authentic and personalised service. The role is a contract position, working and living at sea for up to 6 months at a time, with a 1-2 month break at home between contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a variety of Chanel skincare, makeup and fragrance products to guests
• Perform full makeovers and encourage guests to try Chanel, purchase products and use the demonstrated techniques
• Advise guests on the Chanel product range according to their skin type, needs and preferences
• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets through consultative selling
• Understand promotional planners and event schedules to drive product sales and guest traffic
• Build relationships with the Chanel team and cruise partner staff to run events that bring guests to the store
• Assist with stock control and inventory management, including stocking shelves, receiving and storing large deliveries and protecting assets
• Keep product presentation visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines
• Run in-store events, live makeovers and seminars to maximise sales

Required profile

• Strong retail background and knowledge of premium beauty products and fragrances (ideally Chanel or similar)
• Excellent face-to-face customer service and sales ability, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Motivated and driven to achieve sales targets
• Proven ability in public speaking and showcasing luxury items
• Adaptable to change and able to work in a high-pressure environment
• Goal-oriented team player
