Buyer (Slovene & English) – Procurement for Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Buyer fluent in Slovene and English to support our client’s manufacturing site in Lendava. The role involves managing the procurement of engineering, facility and manufacturing spare parts, ensuring continuous production and strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions for ad‑hoc and inventory‑controlled items and place orders in the company system.
• Expedite orders, update delivery promises and coordinate with suppliers to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Identify and execute cost‑reduction initiatives through price negotiations or approved product substitutions, and track savings.
• Resolve non‑conforming deliveries, handle returns, credits, replacements and invoice queries.
• Maintain weekly company procurement reports.
• Perform warehouse operative duties when required, including receipt, unpacking, system processing and distribution of incoming goods.
• Support stock‑management activities such as annual stock‑take and shelf‑life monitoring.

Required profile

• Fluent in Slovene and English (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, inventory control processes and European supply chains.
• Experience in a demanding manufacturing environment where production continuity is critical.
• Proven ability to source both current and obsolete products and generate cost‑saving opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation, numerical and communication skills.
