Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Account Manager to drive sales operations for Avnet Abacus in Slovenia. Candidates from Serbia with Slovenian language skills are also welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales, design‑in and profitability targets for the assigned territory and customer portfolio.
• Identify, develop and close new sales opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
• Drive design‑in activities to secure long‑term revenue streams.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines and business plans.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in collaboration with sales management and legal.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling technical products, preferably in electronics components or related technology sectors.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills with a customer‑oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and within a cross‑functional, international team.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and Slovenian (spoken and written).
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with SAP systems (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic technical understanding of electronic components and applications.
