Workplace Safeguarding & SEAH Risk Specialist – Garment Supply Chains

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a Technical Consultant to lead safeguarding and SEAH risk work across garment supply chains. You will design survivor‑centered systems, improve reporting mechanisms, and build ethical referral pathways with women‑led organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive PSEAH risk assessments in factories, focusing on power dynamics, labor structures, and retaliation risks.
• Develop and operationalize policies, SOPs, and confidential reporting channels, integrating them into HR, grievance and compliance processes.
• Map, partner with, and formalize MOUs with women‑led organizations and GBV service providers to create ethical referral pathways.
• Strengthen partner capacity in case management, data ethics, consent, and safety planning, ensuring access to psychosocial, medical and legal support.
• Drive systemic change by addressing production pressure, retaliation, and under‑reporting; design and deliver training for management, workers and partners.
• Provide ongoing coaching to institutionalize safeguarding practices and influence accountability structures across the supply chain.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safeguarding, GBV/SEAH risk management, or related humanitarian fields.
• Deep understanding of garment supply chain dynamics and private‑sector ethical trade.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, develop policies and build multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
• Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills, with a survivor‑centered approach.
