Technical Service Support Intern (Early in Career Program)

About the role

Roche Diagnostics Adriatic offers a paid, part-time (20 hours per week, flexible around university study) 2-year Technical Service Internship in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is designed for university students in their final years of study, bridging academic theory and real-world biomedical engineering and placing graduates in the company's permanent talent pool.

Key responsibilities

• Year 1: Roche standard onboarding (mQMS, SHE, biohazard safety); introduction to laboratory environments; shadowing senior field service engineers on at least 5 full Preventive Maintenance Visits (PMV); mastering logistics and spare parts management.
• Year 2: Achieving official technical certification (e.g. cobas e411 system); logging actions via ServiceMAX; using remote diagnostics via the ThingWorx Platform (RTP); taking full charge of maintenance checks under expert mentorship.

Required profile

• Student in final years of study at a university (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering or similar technical/biomedical faculty).
• Eligible to work 20 hours per week through a valid Student Service contract.
• Fluent in Slovenian and English.
• Technically minded and highly curious.
