Site MS&T Head – Aseptic Manufacturing (Ljubljana)

About the role

As Site MS&T Head – Aseptic Manufacturing in Ljubljana, you will lead the Manufacturing Science & Technology organization, driving technical excellence and supporting the launch of new aseptic capabilities for Novartis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Site MS&T team.
• Provide technical oversight and lifecycle stewardship for products and processes.
• Manage technology transfers, process introductions and scale‑up activities.
• Own the site validation strategy.
• Partner with site, platform and global leaders to champion manufacturing excellence.
• Ensure inspection readiness and provide technical leadership during inspections.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and make data‑driven decisions.

Required profile

• MSc degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Fluent English (functional knowledge).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MS&T, Quality, Manufacturing or Process Development with proven technical leadership.
• Strong people‑leadership, organizational development and talent‑growth experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision‑making skills.
